1. Two Hounds in Kennel

Color today painted inbetween errands. Rainy high 70's today, so the light in the studio was not so good, even with all the lights. Paints used: burnt umber, burnt sienna, terra rosa, naples yellow, yellow ochre, cobalt blue and permalma white

    good job!!

nice to have the build up from yesterdays sketch
cobalt blue in the dark spots on the hounds?
    what's permalma white?
whats the size of the painting?

I opted for the co-op to draw cause the light was dismal around the studio

  2. This is the 9 x 12 over the underpainting which, I think, kept me straight about keeping values on target. Also it is a pretty simple subject.

Permalma is what happens when typing without a light on in another dismal day. Meant to sat permalba.
